Students in different grade levels are given the same prompt, and asked to illustrate this main idea.   Students are not allowed to discuss their ideas with each other nor are they allowed to copy.  Each idea is unique to the child's interpretation of the prompt.  Students are given art directions in the way to create a focal point, add meaningful details and the medium in which they complete the project.
