Current Events

  • Walk to School Day was held October 8, 2008. One hundred and twenty community walkers participated.

  • Dr. Del Burns' Leadership Team visited Brooks on October 9, 2008.

  • Families from all grade levels came to experience an interactive, museums-like activity similar to what their child would be learning on October 30, 2008.
Past Events
  • Thanks for all of our community readers who took part in our "Community Reads Day".

    Through many practices the 2008 Kids Theatre created sets, music, and a script called The New World of The Lost Colony.

  • A Moving Museum is held once a month to celebrate accomplishments throughout the school.
  • After weeks of hard work and practice, the 2008 First In Fitness Team finally got it’s chance to compete against twenty two other area elementary schools at Sanderson High School.
    Thirty-five 4th and 5th grade students performed in 2008r’s Pieces of Gold performance.  Pieces of Gold is an annual arts extravaganza sponsored by the Wake Education Partnership and the Wake County Public School System.


  • Morning Meetings at Brooks Elementary were featured in "The School Connection." Students and staff at Brooks Museums Magnet Elementary School start each school day with a morning meeting.
